Interactive Online Metronome - Quartz Precision BPM & Tap Tempo

Quartz-accurate online metronome built with Web Audio scheduling API for zero latency and zero jitter. Supports 30-300 BPM, tap tempo calculation, multiple time signatures (4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 7/8), beat subdivisions, customizable accents, and sound timbres (Woodblock, Bell, Beep).

1. Step 1: Set your target tempo (BPM) using the slider, +/- buttons, or by tapping the TAP TEMPO button in rhythm.
2. Step 2: Select your desired time signature (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 12/8).
3. Step 3: Choose a beat subdivision (Quarter notes, 8ths, Triplets, or 16ths).
4. Step 4: Custom-customize individual beat accents (High Bell accent vs Normal click vs Muted).
5. Step 5: Click START to launch the audio engine and visual pendulum pulse.

Is this metronome sample-accurate?

Yes, our engine uses the HTML5 Web Audio API hardware clock (`audioCtx.currentTime`) with look-ahead scheduling, ensuring sub-millisecond precision even when switching browser tabs.

How does the Tap Tempo button work?

Tap the button at least 3-4 times in time with any song or rhythm you hear, and the metronome will instantly calculate and set the exact Beats Per Minute (BPM).

Can I use this for speed training?

Yes! Enable "Speed Incrementor" mode to automatically increase tempo by 2-5 BPM after every specified number of bars.
