How to use Metronome Online
- Step 1: Set your target tempo (BPM) using the slider, +/- buttons, or by tapping the TAP TEMPO button in rhythm.
- Step 2: Select your desired time signature (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 12/8).
- Step 3: Choose a beat subdivision (Quarter notes, 8ths, Triplets, or 16ths).
- Step 4: Custom-customize individual beat accents (High Bell accent vs Normal click vs Muted).
- Step 5: Click START to launch the audio engine and visual pendulum pulse.

Is this metronome sample-accurate?
Yes, our engine uses the HTML5 Web Audio API hardware clock (`audioCtx.currentTime`) with look-ahead scheduling, ensuring sub-millisecond precision even when switching browser tabs.
How does the Tap Tempo button work?
Tap the button at least 3-4 times in time with any song or rhythm you hear, and the metronome will instantly calculate and set the exact Beats Per Minute (BPM).
